This miniature lyre has a star sitting above the strings of the instrument, alluding surely to Vega, the brightest star in the constellation Lyra.In Greek mythology Lyra represents the lyre of Orpheus.Given to him by the Sun God Apollo.
Apollo’s lyre is perhaps his best known attribute, signifying he is the God of Music amongst so many other disciplines.
