15 carat Victorian rope twist nautical  locket pendant c.1870.
Both sides are decorated with a rope design to resemble a nautical pulley block. This design was a popular motif for silver and gold lockets of the 1870s and this one has a pleasing plumpness.
This design is often now described as a coffee bean locket.
There are subtle enamel highlights to the rope design.
