Charming 2 colour gold Swiss egg shaped bonbonniére pendant c.1830.
The surface if the gold is engine turned with a spotted design and  yellow gold leaves ad scrolls applied to the rose gold ground colour.
This would have originally been a part of full chatelaine with other household necessities.
A bonbonnière on a chateliane refers to a small locket container, either round or oval, used to hold confectionery or small beauty patches (decorative silk spots worn on the face).
