Exquisite Rococo period rose diamond  floral spray pin c.1760.
2 inches,width 3/4 inch.
The spray contains two larger diamonds, one being the centre of the main flower and one forming the centre of the ribbon tie. 
All diamonds are foiled and set in silver cut-down settings, gold to reverse.
Formerly an aigrette, which would have sparkled in the high hair styles of the period. Adapted to a brooch in the late c19th.
Condition near perfect, there is an antique strengthening patch to one stem, and even this is done with style.
