Unusual form of early Georgian rose-cut  foiled paste necklace c.1750. English.

Raspberry-foiled pastes in both oval and pear shapes in cut-down gilt settings.

A rare transitional style much like 'Queen Anne'  paste chokers, but connected as a riviere . The bright pink foiling and rose-cut stones were perhaps an imitation of Perpignan garnet jewellery. I have not come across this particular style in 30 years.

Very fine original and untouched condition. Some mottling to the original foil.

15 3/4inches.
