A sculptural kite-shaped design with applied scrolls and rosettes with girandole drops,the whole earring is formed in three articulated sections.
Beautifully matched oval and pear-shape turquoise.
Original front-to-back hinged earring fittings.
Immaculate condition.
9 cms long. Each earring 10 grams.
Repoussée work replaced cannetille work towards the end of the 1820s as the prevalent fashion.As the earrings became longer in the 1830s the lighter weight of repousée had an added attraction.
