Late Georgian seal fob in the form of a harp c.1820.
15 carat gold, turquoise, set with a foiled amethyst seal carved with the name ‘Nina’.
The gold is two colour, textured and matted, the applied leaves in a yellow gold, the ground warmer and redder.
Even the bale is twisted and the body of the harp is textured.
On such a miniature scale the piece is a wonder of the goldsmith’s art.
The harp is a symbol of Hope, heavenly love and worship.
