Rare survivor of an intricate pair of high-carat gold late Georgian drop earrings of typical torpedo form c.1820. The main body of the earring is composed of textured gold sheet and decorated with stars,repousee flowers and a central cannetille lyre supported by tiny struts.. The tops are original though with later gold wires.Condition is excellent,some slight rippling to one earring at the back.Beautifully light to wear.2 1/2 inches long,1/2 inch wide at the widest point.
