Each paste stone 2cms by 2cms approx.
The opalines are entirely rose-cut and the pink more of a low cushion-cut.
‘Queen Anne paste’ as it is universally described refers to these large foiled chokers (along with double oval earrings)of the mid 18th century, in deeply dished gilt collets most characteristically in ‘dog tooth’ settings.The chokers were always finished with ribbon loop fittings to be tied with a large bow at the back of the neck.Often the choker was laid upon silk worn underneath for comfort.
