Luscious foiled ‘Queen Anne’ garnet pendant drop in gilt metal c.1740.

Likely a conversion from a magnificent single earring.

Jewellery collectors have long misnamed these early jewels ‘Queen Anne’ as a catch-all term to cover the early to mid c18th Georgian period.

This example is rare in its use of very large garnets.

Typical ‘dog-tooth’ settings.

2 inches length.
