Rare portrait miniature ring depicting the last Stuart monarch Queen Anne who reigned 1702-1714. The portrait is painted on vellum under crystal and bordered with foiled flat-cut garnets to a fine dished bezel and original bifurcated high carat shank. c.1770.
Perhaps purely a historical commemorative item or even a Stuart supporters ring half a century after the first Hanoverian king ascended the throne.
Condition excellent, one tiny cracked garnet.
