Near pair of rare paste girandole earrings c.1770. Although certainly from the same school and period each earring has subtle design differences, one has a slightly more elaborate setting decoration, and the central foliate sprays have slightly different symmetry.

Of classic chandelier form with central bow with three pear drops typical of the Continental Rococo style, these are likely to be Dutch in origin.

Beautiful c18th 'tails' hooking the drops from the main'bow' part of the earring.

I have bought many single earrings from this period however I purchased these as a pair and I wonder if they have been together for many generations.

1.5 inches length.
