Superb collection of  17 Meiji Period Ojime metalwork beads forming a necklace c.1860.

8 ojime are signed.

Bronze, gold,silver,and copper. Richly decorated ovoid, cylindrical and vase forms,one clam shell, one cauldron, a buddha, a dog of Pho,peacock,finches,cherry blossom.

Ropetwist chain 9 carat gold, tiny high carat box clasp. 18inches.

Ojime are cord fastener beads to keep the Inro in place along with the netsuke which essentially works as a toggle.These three items form the sagemono and tie to the belt of the kimono.
