Porcelain masquerade patch box pendant c.1820.

The pendant is in the form of a mid-c18th aristocratic lady’s head dressed for a masked ball with powdered hair.

The piece is set with rose diamond eyes The locket lid has an engraved armorial shield and coronet.

5 cms x 3.5 cms.

The factories of Meissen and Samson produced these novelties in the early to mid c19th referring to the masked balls so popular in the previous century.
