Substantial early Victorian 18 carat  and  enamel mourning band of chased scalloped design with Gothic lettering In Memory Of.  The chasing incorporates the designs of roses and shells.
Inscribed to interior Lydia Rigby obt 29th April 1839 aet 84. Clean set of  London hallmarks with makers mark DSES who apparently made works for renowned jewellers Hunt and Ruskell who bore the Royal Warrant for Queen Victoria.
The ring is in mint condition save for one chip to the black enamel to the left of the letter O.(see photo).
