Stunning large scale reverse carved intaglio 'Essex' crystal depicting a terrier sitting looking out from his Victorian timber framed doghouse.
The dog is between a Yorkshire terrier and a Glen of Imaal terrier, the Victorian breeds looked very different and rather more rustic than the same breeds today. The 15ct tubular frame has a beaded decoration, with one bead absent.(also slight loss to glass locket to the reverse.)
1.5 inches diameter. Quite probably the best I've ever had.
