Rare Georgian silver perpetual calendar fob pendant c.1780.
I have had these novelties (or ‘toys’ as they would have been described in the period) in pinch and gold but never silver.
3 cms tall.
10 grams.
The top has a screw thread so the calendar can be lifted and moved to match the correct day of the week.
Beautiful c18th engraving.
Initials of the original owner F.H. to the base.
Works particularly well on a longer chain.
