Stunning Georgian repousse 15ct gold sliced agate drop earrings,a triumph of the lapidarist's art.
Utilising the mossy,cream and apricot tones in the agate,the central sections unusually are articulated to swing,the drops of a shield shape,set in fine pressed high carat gold scrolls and shells.
The tops have the original hinged back-to-front fittings.
In extremely fine condition,two fissures are visible with a loupe in one articulated section.
Featherlight to wear. 3.5 inches long,1 inch at the widest point.
