Late Georgian moss agate teardrop earrings set in cut-down pie crust gold settings with Georgian hinge back carnelian tops c.1820.

The two elements are married together as the moss green drops would have originally had moss green agate hinge tops.

The carnelian tops are closed back so perhaps very slightly earlier than the drops. I love the contrast with the rich amber of carnelian with the translucent deep green of the moss agate.

Note the carnelian tops are slightly different sizes though I believe they have always been together.

1.5 inches.
