Sentimental Rococo heart locket pendant with a enamelled ribbon border threaded with rose buds c.1760.
The motto reads ‘Mon coeur sera toujours à vous’ (My heart will always belong to you) in white enamel and high carat gold, entwined with a climbing rose, garnets for the buds.
The central locket houses the original hair ‘picture’, a tree of life, now somewhat degraded which can easily be removed if so wished.The crystal locket closes securely with a satisfying click. 
Some wear to the white enamel.
