Georgian gold hand clasp c.1800  worn as a charm on a fine early c19th micro-belcher chain.

The hand hangs from an original ring set to the palm of the hand.

One of the finer examples with a tiny ruby ring on the forefinger and fluted cuff.

Both hand and chain 15ct. Hand 3/4 inch long. Chain 16 inches.

The hand motif was popular in the early c19th for clasps of gold and pinchbeck guard chains, symbolising friendship.
