Unusual Georgian carnelian faux padlock pendant with tiny heart and key charms on micro chain c.1820.
Highly polished and bevelled, the burnt toffee colour of the carnelian contrasts with the creamy pearls set in gold cut-down settings which form the escutcheon and the ‘hinges’ of the lock.
The reverse is polished plain.
A facetted gold bale holds the tiny chain with heart and key attached.
A sentimental gift from the Regency period in immaculate condition.
Padlock 3cms by 3cms.
