Stunning high carat gold wide Regency mourning band to commemorate George Tate 1822. 
The surface of the band is entirely milled with a matt mercury gild and two fine lines of black enamel. The central band has tiny raised Gothic script reading In Memory Of. The inscription inside reads George Tate died 15 May 1822 aet 77. Makers mark WP and London hallmarks.
