Sensitive delicate profile portrait of a gentleman, using graphite on prepared paper set to an enamelled octagonal lozenge pendant in 18 carat gold c.1790.
There are subtle tints of colour to the lips,nose and eyes.
The work is from the circle of Thomas Bluget de Valdenuit(1763-1846).
