Unusual late c18th navette shaped mourning ring with a forget-me-not blue enamel urn set to a cobalt blue glass ground.c.1780.

There is also a border in the same pale blue enamel, and the plinth to the urn has a white enamel rectangle (for initials)which has been left unmarked.

18 carat gold, the shank is a later replacement.

As the ring has no inscription to the reverse it is likely it was a jewellers sample or was sold undedicated.

Size 7.
