Highly unusual sentimental navette brooch/pendant depicting a father and son with two spaniels and a greyhound enjoying a picnic.The young girls gives the hound a treat of her bread and cheese.

High carat gold with beautiful bright-cut inscription H.Nash, Sept 24th 1780.

1.5 inches by 1inch.

Possibly a gift painted for one of the sitters either the young girl or the father.

Rare to see such a domestic scene on this type of jewellery.
