Sublime Victorian flush-set 18 carat gold emerald and old-cut diamond gypsy ring c.1880.
The central old cut diamond is flanked by two pear-shaped facetted Colombian emeralds of excellent colour.
Although I have had three and five stone flush-set in many combinations I have only had one other with pear-shape stones and that one was ruby and diamond. This is my first with emeralds.
The ring has been well-loved and the surface of the emeralds show wear with a chip to the pointed corner of one stone.However when worn the beauty of the ring is undeniable.
Just bigger than a size 4.
