Quality carved and enamelled wide George IV period 18 carat gold  mourning band for Elizabeth Labron(1789-1827).

Elizabeth Labron(formerly Mabson) was the wife of James Augustus Labron. The two Birmingham families Mabson and Lebron were also business partners from 1808 to at least 1834 specialising in gun making though they had formerly made 'toys' referring to metalwork trinkets such as snuff-boxes, shoe buckles, corkscrews and the like. Indeed Birmingham in the late 18th & early 19th century was known as the 'Toyshop of Europe'.
