Known for decades in the trade as 'Queen Anne ' even M.D.S.Lewis in his book Antique Paste Jewellery(1970) suggested this form was no earlier than 1740 and the style continued to be popular in England and France to the end of the century.
I have had the kaleidoscope of colours in c18th paste jewellery but this particular intense blue is unique.
