Gilt copper early c18th pendant bodkin or needlecase set with a rose-diamond button.c.1730.
Unusual octagonal shape.
Would originally have formed part of a chatelaine, along with cases for scissors, thimbles, vinaigarette etc. 3 inches long.
Very similar gold bodkin V and A collection dated 1730-1735.
