Poignant William IV mourning ring with a tiny budding forget-me-not in rose diamonds on black enamel to a textured 18 carat gold acanthus leaf shank.

The ring is inscribed for John Dunnington Ob May 6th 1838 aged 28.

Though Queen Victoria had already ascended the throne in June 1837 the ring is actually hallmarked for William IV though obviously inscribed a year later.

Oval bezel 1.2cms North to South.

Size 8.
