Glass Tassie ‘intaglio’ seal ring c.1790.
The Tassie depicts a tired, chained Cupid leaning on an adze after an Ancient Greek gem described in the James Tassie archive.
Likely a fob seal converted long ago to a ring with a 15ct gold wide band.
Beautiful Roman setting and a delightful, romantic subject.
