Quality 18ct gold and cornelian Georgian fob seal with the Haselwood family crest including a squirrel eating a hazelnut, a shield with three martlets and three sprigs c.1790.

The seal being a companion to other seal I have listed likely relates to Benjamin Haselwood, a wealthy textile merchant of Bridgnorth,Shropshire.(see portrait).

The gold work on the fob is exceptional with carved feathers.

Height of fob 3.5cms.

Seal 3 cms by 2cms.
