The ram's head held deep symbolism for the ancient Greek and Etruscan people and was worn as an exotic magical amulet,a talisman of protection,representing guidance and sacrifice.
Just under 1 inch including  c19th 15 carat gold pendant bail.
Formerly a stickpin,at some point converted to a pendant. Chain not included.
