Closed back high carat gold cut-down settings of the finest quality.

Original,undisturbed condition. Unoubtedly would have been part of a parure with rivière,earrings and bracelets.
Cobalt oxide used for blue glaze decoration in c18th porcelain was imported by Bristol merchant Richard Champion from Saxony and at least by the 1780s glassworks started producing 'Bristol Blue' glass items which remained popular through the entire c19th. Very rarely seen in jewellery.
