The pendant was likely a sentimental gift from Clara Maria Burdett Money-Coutts(1809-1899) to her husband the Reverend James Drummond Money in 1850.They had one son together Francis Money-Coutts,5th Baron Latymer.
Clara’s father was the radical reforming British Politician Sir Francis Burdett(1770-1844).Her mother Sophia was the daughter of Thomas Coutts from whom the banking house took its name.
