These tiny motifs were often set to polished steel back plates and became part of larger jewels, but occasionally they were set as stickpins.
Totally original with the typical wiggly short gold Georgian pin.
The Museum of Applied Arts in Vienna displays 32 tiny cast elements free from any pin or later plate.(see photo).
