Splendid lace-like Berlin Iron collar composed of Gothic trefoil with acanthus finials and ivy rosettes.c.1820.
The clasp is a cameo featuring the cherub from The Sistine Madonna by Raphael,set in gold.
The Gothic trefoil elements can be found in museum examples by Johann Conrad Geiss but were also produced by the Joseph Glanz firm in Vienna.
