Strikingly modelled 15ct gold Victorian fob seal formed of a naked left arm strapped to a shield as though in defense. c.1860.

The seal is a banded sardonyx uncarved.

In Fairbairn's Book of Crests three families have an arm in armour holding a shield as a crest and the Tison crest refers to a hand proper.

1 inch tall,the seal base 3/4 inch.
