Regency period three-colour gold fob seal in the form of a resting butterfly c.1820.
The bloodstone seal is carved 'Henriette' below a coronet for Princess Henriëtte of Nassau-Weilburg, (22 April 1780 - 2 January 1857) a German duchess. She was a daughter of Prince Charles Christian and Carolina of Orange-Nassau, daughter of William IV, Prince of Orange.
The seal is studded with turquoise and pearl. Wear commensurate with age.
Height 1 inch,seal 1/2 inch across. 4.6grams.
