15 carat gold Victorian drop earrings of an Anthemion-inspired design c.1870 with  Registration lozenge, ‘Diamond Mark’ to reverse.
The central pearl star motif is centred by pale coral.

The 'lozenge' mark was used between 1842 and 1883 to certify the patent of the models registered by the UK Patent Office allowing the identification of day, month and year of their registration.
